Giving Back to the CommunityJaideep Nair
We have recently started on a journey of giving back to the community where we can. Throughout our years we have helped a range of different charities and causes. In 2021 we want to step it up and help in a bigger way. We are really excited to announce we have partnered with i=Change.
i=Change is a great platform assisting us to help make a positive impact in our community. For every purchase made on the Jenjo Games website, we with the help of the i=Change program, will donate $1 from every sale to one of the three charities listed below. You decide where the donation goes to, and you can even help further by choosing to increase your donation if you wish.
The three charities we have chosen to donate to are;
Bring Joy to Sick Kids – Partnered with Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital. When a once-bright life becomes dulled by needles, hospital visits and painful treatments. Starlight helps sick kids forget their illness and rediscover the joy of childhood. Also, there’s a Starlight Express Room in every children’s hospital in Australia. In these vibrant medical-free zones our superhero, Captain Starlight, brightens the world for seriously ill children and their families.
Our Impact $ 39 = gives one sick child access to the Starlight Express Room for a year
Support A Child to Recover – Partnered with Australian Childhood Foundation
Every night in Australia 46,000 children can’t sleep in their own beds because they are at risk of being abused or neglected. In one-on-one therapeutic counselling, children are supported to understand the abuse was not their fault and they are worthy of love. Holding children in strong relationships, they come to trust their connection with caring people as a source of nurturing and comfort, not hurt and betrayal.
Our Impact $ 50 = helps provide one-on-one specialised therapeutic counselling for a child who has experienced family violence.
Post-Fire Support – Partnered with Save the Children
Hundreds of thousands of Australian children have been affected by bushfires. Experiencing a disaster of this nature can have a harrowing long-term impact on a child’s emotional wellbeing. Save the Children is running Child Friendly Spaces, providing children with a safe place to socialise, play and simply be children again. In the longer-term, Save will focus on supporting children’s emotional recovery. This is likely to include helping children process and express their emotions, deal with issues they are facing and develop coping mechanisms for the future.
Our Impact $ 30 = replaces children’s toys lost in the fires.
When we started Jenjo Games we aspired to create products that brought excitement and joy to children. We also wanted to provide an opportunity for families to come together and make memories. It gives us a great sense of purpose knowing our business not only continues to do this, but because of our original vision of giving back to the community, we can now help positively impact the lives of the children who need it the most.
